In the free-to-play horror game Unolingo, Uno the green owl texts the protagonist, reminding them that they did not study Spanish again. Telling Uno to leave them alone, the mascot decides to visit the protagonist’s house. Unolingo and Uno are based on Duolingo and Duo, respectively.

Find the keycard

Now trapped in the Unolingo office, the protagonist is faced with puzzles that require their Spanish language skills. While exploring the place and avoiding the sinister Uno, they find a note from a prisoner named Jenny, revealing that she hid the exit keycard in her cell. 

With the puzzles solved and keycard in hand, the protagonist opens the door to the exit, and behind them is Uno with glowing red eyes. Though falling under the horror genre, this game is educational as it helps beginners learn new Spanish words. The short playtime, though, is its drawback.

Unolingo puts a satirical, yet horror twist on language learning. With the protagonist not consistently studying Spanish, Uno pays them a visit and traps them in the Unolingo office. As all the puzzles require a degree of proficiency in Spanish, this is a unique game that language learners must try.
